Beginner Class Overview
Our Beginner Martial Arts Lessons are based on the U.S. Chung Do Kwan Association’s “Forces of Taekwondo” textbook under the teaching and training of the late Sr. Grandmaster Edward B. Sell, 10th Dan and Sr. Grandmaster Brenda J. Sell, 9th Dan. The beginner Taekwondo lessons lay a foundation for basic techniques such as front kicks, sidekicks, proper punching and striking techniques, as well as proper stances. Each belt level adds new skills and requirements as students continue to perfect previous techniques taught. This happens as their study of theory and application is practiced on the training floor and at home. Our comprehensive program teaches more than just martial arts for kids by including character development, life skills training, and partnering with our parents for meeting the needs of the whole child. We also have years of experience teaching children with ADHD, as well as special needs students.
